Dr. Faria is a young promising molecular virologist. He has contributed significantly to the understanding the origin, evolution and spread of Zika virus and Yellow Fever virus in America using mobile laboratory, portable genome sequencers and advanced genomic analysis methods. He has three Nature and two Science papers reporting the analysis of these emerging viruses, and totally 42 publications, H-index 20.
