Yunyue is a PhD student at Xiamen University, researching the impact of global climate change, including ocean warming and high CO2 levels, on marine plankton. Her work focuses on how these stressors affect microbial ecosystems, biogeochemical cycles, and the ocean’s biological carbon pump. She employs cutting-edge multi-omics approaches and conducts mesocosm experiments on the effects of marine heatwaves on plankton communities.
