Wenxin Fan (范文鑫)
Xiamen University
Wenxin is a PhD student at Xiamen University, specialising in bacterial carbon metabolism within the marine carbon cycle. Her research investigates how bacterial metabolic processes regulate carbon fluxes across oceanic layers, contributing to carbon sequestration and climate regulation. She is particularly interested in applying multi-omics approaches, such as metagenomics and metatranscriptomics, to link bacterial carbon metabolism with biogeochemical processes. Wenxin aims to enhance her expertise in these techniques to provide deeper insights into marine microbial ecology and advance her future studies.
