Tian Juan (田娟)
Xiamen University
Tian is a PhD student in marine chemistry at the College of Ocean and Earth Sciences, Xiamen University. Her research examines the impact of heterotrophic nitrogen fixation on the marine nitrogen budget and its coupling with carbon cycling. Using stable isotope techniques, microbial gene analysis, and biogeochemical measurements, she explores non-cyanobacterial diazotroph-driven processes and their role in nitrogen balance and carbon export in the ocean. She is particularly interested in applying multi-omics approaches to study microbial diversity and functional potential in marine ecosystems.
