Feng Shi (石凤)
Ocean University of China
Feng is a PhD student at the College of Environmental Science and Engineering, Ocean University of China, specialising in marine ecology. Her research focuses on phytoplankton responses to environmental changes, particularly the effects of ocean acidification and atmospheric dust deposition on the coastal diatom Skeletonema costatum. Using laboratory experiments and transcriptomic analyses, Feng investigates physiological and molecular responses under combined environmental stressors. Her work aims to understand how climate change processes influence marine primary productivity and biogeochemical cycling, integrating approaches from physiology, molecular biology, and ocean chemistry to address ecological challenges.
