Bingyan Lin (林冰艳)
Xiamen University
Bingyan is a PhD student at the College of the Environment and Ecology, Xiamen University. Specialising in marine ecology, Bingyan’s research explores biogeochemical processes and ecosystem responses in marginal seas. Her investigates the spatiotemporal dynamics of picophytoplankton growth and grazing in the Northwest Pacific Subtropical Gyre using dilution experiments and flow cytometry. Bingyan applies machine learning to study global grazing pressure patterns on picophytoplankton and heterotrophic bacteria, aiming to deepen his expertise in microbial ecology, biogeochemical cycling, and integrative data analysis.
