Yuxin Gao is a second-year PhD student at The University of Hong Kong (HKU). Her current research uses cryo-EM to take a closer look at the replication organelles of viruses and figure out exactly how they work at the molecular level. Before diving into the cryo-EM world, Yuxin spent a lot of time doing wet lab work, which gave her a solid foundation in biology. She loves learning new things and combining different techniques to solve tricky biological puzzles.
