Guimin Yin is a PhD graduate from Professor Yan Zhang’s group in the College of Life Sciences at Nankai University, China. Guimin's research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of plant cell development and polar growth in Arabidopsis thaliana. As a first author or co-author, she has published papers in Developmental Cell, New Phytologist, Nature Plants, The Plant Cell, Plant Physiology, and Plant Science. Recently, as a postdoctoral fellow, she has expanded her research into synthetic biology, exploring and engineering the vesicle trafficking system in duckweed to enhance membrane homeostasis and increase the robustness of the plant chassis.
