Elena Bolonova
Hong Kong Polytechnic University
Elena Bolonova is a fourth-year PhD student in the Department of Applied Biology and Chemical Technology at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Previously, she received a bachelor's degree in biophysics from Saint Petersburg State University and a master's degree in biotechnology from Moscow State University. Elena is mostly interested in physical methods and their application to biological research. Her current research focuses on antibiotic resistance conveyed by beta-lactamases, employing hydrogen/deuterium exchange mass spectrometry (HDX-MS) to investigate the conformational dynamics of proteins.
