We use state-of-the-art, real-time imaging of live cells, genome-wide functional analyses, genetics, molecular genetics and biochemistry in human stem cells and in budding yeast to elucidate the molecular mechanisms that underlie highly dynamic actin-mediated membrane trafficking events, which mediate formation of vesicles and distinct cellular compartments.
