Shiri Alouf-Heffetz

Shiri Alouf-Heffetz is a PhD student at Ben Gurion University studying computational social choice. Driven by a profound love of chess from an early age—with Aron Nimzowitsch's My System being the first book he ever read— he competed in Mathematical Olympiads and tackled complex puzzles. He completed their undergraduate studies at Hebrew University of Jerusalem and earned a master's degree in mathematics and computer science at University of Oxford. Currently pursuing a PhD at Ben-Gurion University, he possesses a curious mind, enjoys delving deeply into new topics, and looks forward to engaging in dialogue with leading minds. With professional experience in cybersecurity and data science, he finds solving hard problems to be a rewarding pursuit, having published papers in top computational social choice venues alongside distinguished collaborators.
