Chinese University of Hong Kong
I hold a strong academic background in computer science, mathematical logic, and formal computational linguistics. I studied computer science at Oxford and mathematical logic at Manchester, earning my PhD in formal computational linguistics from Paris. During my PhD research, I collaborated with Jonathan Ginzburg to develop a theory of conversational types. This theory, when integrated into a broader theory of conversational interaction, enables predictions about what can be said, how, and by whom in a conversation. Currently, I'm integrating conversational types with game theory to understand strategic decision-making in conversations. I work in the Faculty of Social Science at Chinese University of Hong Kong and have a keen interest in applying game theory to the social sciences. Through my research, I aim to explore the applications of game theory in understanding social interactions, decision-making processes, and strategic behaviors in various sociological contexts.
