Yilin Li is a first-year PhD student in computer science and engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), researching game theory (auctions and online learning) and information design (Bayesian persuasion). He previously spent more than six years as a data scientist and machine-learning engineer at Mercari Japan, where he designed and built large-scale experimentation, offline evaluation and optimisation and bandit systems for personalisation.
