The research group of Dr. Enninga, Dynamics of host-pathogen interactions, establishes novel tools that yield information on the molecular details of bacterial pathogen infection in the context of single living cells with unprecedented spatiotemporal resolution. A focus is put on the following aspects:

1)      the pathogen behavior during host cell entry.

2)      intracellular localization of the invading pathogens

3)      induced host responses within the host cells.
