Welcome, Croucher Class of 2024!

5 July 2024

We are delighted to announce the awarding of scholarships and fellowships to twenty-six brilliant young Hong Kong scientists this year. For this round of awards, we saw a very high number of high-calibre applications. The successful applications came from a wide range of disciplines: life sciences, physical sciences, engineering, mathematics, and computer science. Over the next few weeks and months, most of the scholars and fellows will set off to carry out their studies and research in institutions all over the world, including in Europe, the US, and Canada.

Sir Gregory Winter FRS, Chairman of the Noel Croucher Foundation, said: “We were very pleased to see so many talented and enthusiastic young scientists applying for awards this year. The quality and size of the field both suggest that the future of science in Hong Kong is very bright.”
