Yaning Wang (王雅宁)
Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou)
Yaning Wang is currently pursuing a PhD at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), building upon a solid foundation in atmospheric sciences obtained from Nanjing University. Her primary research areas include extreme precipitation and climate change, with a particular focus on the application of artificial intelligence in weather forecasting and climate prediction. Through her involvement in various research projects, Yaning has honed her analytical and computational skills to better understand climate dynamics. Yaning is dedicated to advancing understandings of climate change and extreme events, as well as contributing to the development of more accurate predictive models. Her broader research interests include atmospheric water vapour monitoring, numerical weather prediction (NWP), data assimilation and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) positioning.
