Xueqing Du is a first-year PhD student at the City University of Hong Kong. She is working on tropical easterly waves and their impact on tropical cyclones under the supervision of Professor Jung-Eun Chu. Xueqing obtained her bachelor’s degree in atmospheric science and master’s degree in meteorology from Ocean University of China.
