Xiuwen Nie is an MPhil student at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, majoring in atmospheric environmental science. Through her studies, she has explored the responses of tropical cyclones to global warming and regional climate modelling. Xiuwen is also passionate about the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in weather forecasting, especially rainfall forecasting, and hopes to study this field during her future doctoral studies.
