Shirui Yan is pursuing a PhD in the College of Atmospheric Sciences at Lanzhou University. Her primary research focuses on the historical causes of snowfall variations on the Tibetan Plateau and future snowfall projections. She aims to utilise machine learning — a highly efficient and mainstream research methodology — to expand data coverage and improve data quality in her studies.
