Yuhang Shao, PhD (Candidate), He graduated from Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology with a degree in Atmospheric Sciences in 2017. He is a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Earth System Model（CAS-ESM） Development Group . His main research interests are in the application of machine learning in Earth system prediction. It mainly includes model prediction data bias correction, downscaling, and data-driven sub-seasonal to seasonal prediction research. He developed a new generation of error correction schemes for seasonal prediction systems based on CAS-ESM. This significantly improved the skill of seasonal precipitation forecast. It will be applied in the flood seasonal consultations in China.
