Nan Lei
Lanzhou University
I am a first-year PhD student in the School of Atmospheric Sciences at Lanzhou University, focusing on climate change and heatwave studies. My research emphasizes the impact of ocean variability on global and regional heatwave events in China. One study on the impact of ocean variability on global heatwave events and previous work on the influence of the Indian Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean on heatwave occurrences in China have been published in Environmental Research Letters (ERL). In the future, I aim to use Artificial Intelligence models combined with dynamic models to predict extreme heatwave weather phenomena.
