Nan Lei is a first-year PhD student in the School of Atmospheric Sciences at Lanzhou University, focusing on climate change and heatwaves. His research focuses on the impact of ocean variability on global and regional heatwave events in China, with works published in Environmental Research Letters. In the future, Nan aims to combine artificial intelligence and dynamic models to predict extreme heatwaves.
