Muhammad Javaid Aslam received bachelor's and master's degrees in engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore. He worked as an electrical testing engineer for energy meters from 2009 to 2012. Muhammad served as a lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering at SCET from 2012 to 2014 and at the University of Gujrat from 2014. He is currently pursuing a PhD in electronic and computer engineering at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. His research focuses on machine learning for optimisation, load forecasting, electronic design automation (EDA), and smart power.
