Jiafei Xu is pursuing a PhD in the Department of Land Surveying and Geo-Informatics at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His research focuses on developing algorithms to enhance precipitable water vapour retrievals from multi-satellite observations. He also works on validating these algorithms against diverse water vapour measurements, including ground-based, satellite-based, and reanalysis data. Jiafei aims to improve the accuracy of atmospheric data, which is crucial for better weather prediction and climate research. By deepening our understanding of atmospheric processes, his research supports significant advancements in meteorology and environmental science, contributing to more reliable forecasting and climate analysis to the world.
