Chongjie Guan is a postgraduate student in the School of Atmospheric Sciences at Sun Yat-sen University and will graduate in 2026 if everything goes well. He has a strong background in mathematics and physics, alongside a deep interest in meteorology. Chongjie is currently conducting research on numerical weather prediction for typhoons. His research focuses on improving forecasts for typhoon tracks and key meteorological elements. He is also keen to explore applications of artificial intelligence in numerical weather prediction (NWP).
