Tsz Wing Tang research interests include the defect engineering of two-dimensional materials, particularly transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) and hexagonal boron nitride (hBN), with controlled properties for quantum photonics, electronics, and optoelectronics. She focuses on spatially controlled vacancy doping in 2D materials for p-n junctions and bias-free optical synapses for neuromorphic computing and also carbon defect engineering in hBN for tunable single photon emitters (SPEs).
