Siu Lung Tam is a third-year undergraduate student in the 4-year BSc Physics program at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, with an Extended Major in Artificial Intelligence and a Minor in Robotics. My interdisciplinary training spans quantum mechanics, machine learning, and robotic systems. He is particularly interested in the intersection of quantum technologies with AI and robotics — for example, using reinforcement learning for quantum control, or integrating quantum sensing into robotic platforms. Although he is still an undergraduate, he has actively engaged in self-directed projects and is eager to deepen his knowledge through the Croucher Advanced Study Institute on Quantum technologies. This program offers a unique opportunity to build a solid foundation and prepare for graduate research at the quantum-AI-robotics nexus.
