Eytan Ruppin

Eytan Ruppin is a prominent figure in computational oncology, serving as Chief of the Cancer Data Science Department at the National Cancer Institute (NCI). He holds both M.D. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from Tel-Aviv University and previously directed the Center for Bioinformatics and Computational Biology at the University of Maryland. Ruppin's research focuses on algorithmic analysis of biomedical, omics, and clinical data, particularly in precision oncology, immunotherapy responses, and cancer development. His lab integrates AI and machine learning with biological data to explore cancer biology and treatment strategies, including genomic modelling and cancer immunology. A Fellow of the International Society for Computational Biology, Ruppin has received several prestigious awards and co-founded startups in precision medicine and cancer drug discovery. His pioneering work continues to shape the future of computational oncology and interdisciplinary cancer research.
