Yuewen Zhang is a PhD candidate in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Her research focuses on metal-organic frameworks for water desalination, with a particular emphasis on water and ion transport mechanisms through nanoscale pores. She is investigating how pore architecture and pore functionalisation influence ion selectivity and permeation performance in order to develop more efficient desalination technologies.
