Yajie Hu (胡亚杰)
Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
Yajie Hu is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He received his PhD from Tsinghua University in 2025 and his BSc from Shandong University. His research focuses on developing advanced materials and iontronic devices, with particular interest in non-equilibrium electrochemistry and ion transport. He developed ultralow-resistance electrochemical capacitors for integrable line filtering and established a separator engineering strategy to address the ion-transport limitations in electrochemical filter capacitors. His research has produced representative publications in Nature, Nature Communications, Joule and other leading journals. He has won the Dimitris N. Chorafas Prize (2026), the Carbon Future Young Investigator Award (2025), the Academic Rising Star of Tsinghua University (2025) and the Jingqing Chemistry Rising Star Award from the Chinese Chemical Society (2024), among others.
