Rui Tang focuses his research on polymeric materials and interfaces, particularly the structure–property relationships and dynamic evolution of ion-containing polymer membranes. He is currently interested in understanding how molecular interactions, ion transport, solvent dynamics, and polymer relaxation govern membrane interfaces and electrochemical performance. His work combines materials synthesis, electrochemical characterisation, spectroscopy, and nanoscale structural analysis to develop a mechanistic understanding of complex polymer systems and their processing–structure–property relationships.
