Fan Gao is a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Professor Yitao Long and Professor Yilun Ying at the School of Chemistry, Nanjing University. He received his BSc in chemistry and PhD in analytical chemistry from Nanjing University under the supervision of Professor Yitao Long. His research focuses on nanopore-based single-molecule analysis. He has developed an asymmetric OmpF nanopore system to identify chiral amino acids, peptides and oligosaccharide isomers.
