Hongxia Yang

Hongxia Yang holds a PhD from Duke University and has published over 100 papers in top-tier conferences and journals, alongside more than 50 patents in the USA and China. Her research focuses on artificial intelligence, particularly in large language models. Hongxia's contributions have earned her numerous prestigious awards, including the Super AI Leader (SAIL) Award at the 2019 World Artificial Intelligence Conference and the Second-Class National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2020. In 2022, she was recognised by Forbes China as one of the Top 50 Women in Tech. She has also been elected as an AI 2000 Most Influential Scholar since 2023. Previously, she worked at notable institutions such as IBM, Yahoo!, Alibaba DAMO Academy, and ByteDance US, and served as an adjunct professor at Zhejiang University’s Shanghai Advanced Research Institute.
