Deyu Meng
Professor, School of Mathematics and Statistics, Xi'an Jiao Tong University

I received my BA and MS degree in Applied Mathematics, and Ph. D degree in Computer Science, all from Xi'an Jiaotong University. My Ph. D advisor was Zongben Xu. Currently I work for Xi'an Jiaotong University as an associate professor. From August 2012 to July 2014, I took my two-year sabbatical leave in Carnegie Mellon University. In August 2012 I joined the Robotics Institute of School of Computer Science, working with Fernando De la Torre, and in August 2012, I joined Language Technologies Institute of School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University, working with Alex Hauptmann. My research interests include machine learning and its applications to multimedia content analysis and computer vision.
