Deyu Meng
Professor, School of Mathematics and Statistics, Xi'an Jiao Tong University
Deyu Meng received a BA and MS in Applied Mathematics, as well as a PhD in Computer Science, all from Xi'an Jiaotong University, with Zongben Xu as his PhD advisor. Currently, he serve as an associate professor at Xi'an Jiaotong University. From August 2012 to July 2014, he took a two-year sabbatical at Carnegie Mellon University, where he worked at the Robotics Institute with Fernando De la Torre and at the Language Technologies Institute with Alex Hauptmann. His research interests focus on machine learning and its applications in multimedia content analysis and computer vision.
