Bingyi Jing is a chair professor in the Department of Statistics and Data Science at Southern University of Science and Technology and serves as the Director of the Big Data Innovation Center. He is recognized as a Nationally Distinguished Expert and has received the Second Prize of the National Natural Science Award. Additionally, he holds the title of Changjiang Scholar Chair Professor appointed by the Ministry of Education and has received the Second Prize of the Ministry of Education’s Natural Science Award for Universities.

Jing is a fellow of the American Statistical Association, a fellow of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics, and an elected member of the International Statistical Institute. He also chairs the Multivariate Analysis Committee of the Chinese Society for Applied Statistics.

He has served as an associate editor for multiple international academic journals. His research interests include probability and statistics, econometrics, network data, and machine learning, with over one hundred publications in top journals and conferences. He has been honored with the Huawei Spark Award and the Huawei Excellent Collaborative Achievement Award for his extensive industry collaborations.
