Zhiping Wang (王智平)
Hong Kong Polytechnic University
Zhiping Wang is a researcher at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, focusing on computational storage mapping techniques to optimise intralogistics in mass customisation manufacturing. His research explores how real-time data from computational results can dynamically enhance material flow and resource allocation. Zhiping tackles the challenge of synchronising complex, order-driven production processes with internal logistics networks. By developing models and strategies, he ensures that materials, components, and work-in-progress are delivered accurately and efficiently to the right production points at the required time, even in volatile customised order scenarios. His work aims to minimise delays, reduce waste, and improve responsiveness in manufacturing systems.
