Yu Wang (王玉)
Hong Kong Polytechnic University
Yu Wang is a PhD student in the Department of Building and Real Estate at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Her research focuses on integrating internet of things (IoT) technologies, advanced sensor networks, and artificial intelligence (AI). She investigates how AI can process large volumes of real-time sensor data to optimise building operations, enhance energy efficiency, and support precise carbon emission monitoring in modular construction projects. Yu is particularly interested in developing AI models for predictive analysis, anomaly detection, and decision support aimed at promoting sustainable construction practices. By combining AI-driven analytics with IoT-based data acquisition, her work seeks to create practical and intelligent solutions that contribute to the development of greener, smarter, and more efficient built environments.
