Yitao Xu (徐义涛)

Yitao Xu is a PhD student in the Department of Statistics at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), under the supervision of Professor Xiaodan Fan, supported by the prestigious Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS). He holds a Master of Science degree in Statistics from the University of Oxford, where he conducted research under the guidance of Professor Mihai Cucuringu, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). Yitao’s research focuses on the application of statistical methods and artificial intelligence to solve complex problems in biology and astrophysics, with a particular emphasis on immunology and RNA-binding proteins (RBPs). By integrating statistical expertise with cutting-edge AI techniques, his work aims to provide novel insights and practical solutions in these interdisciplinary scientific fields.
