Yinsong Yan (闫银松)

Yinsong Yan is a PhD student in the Department of Computing at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in applied mathematics from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (2020) and Xi’an Jiaotong University (2023), respectively. His research focuses on developing brain-inspired efficient algorithms by bridging biological neural mechanisms with computational efficiency. Yinsong’s work explores spiking neural networks, neuromorphic computing paradigms, and brain-inspired machine intelligence. By drawing insights from the brain’s energy-efficient information processing, he aims to enhance algorithmic performance for complex tasks while reducing computational overhead. His interdisciplinary approach combines mathematics, neuroscience, and computing, contributing to advancements in energy-efficient artificial intelligence and machine learning.
