Yangrong Hu is a PhD student in the Department of Data Science and AI (DSAI) at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His research focuses on generative models for both images and text, with expertise in diffusion models and flow models. He has successfully completed a research project on controllable image generation, enabling users to input image drafts and obtain detailed, corresponding outputs from the model. Currently, Yangrong is investigating discrete diffusion models and their applications in language models, aiming to advance the capabilities of generative AI. His work seeks to push the boundaries of innovation in this rapidly evolving field, contributing to the development of more powerful and versatile generative models. Through his research, Yangrong aspires to make a meaningful impact on the future of artificial intelligence and its practical applications.
