Xiaoxuan Gan

Xiaoxuan Gan is currently an MPhil student in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Xiaoxuan’s research focuses on robotic learning from demonstration, human–robot collaboration, and multimodal perception. By integrating computer vision, natural language processing, and robotic control, Xiaoxuan aims to enable robots to learn manipulation skills from human demonstrations, particularly for intelligent assembly tasks. Xiaoxuan has contributed to developing an interactive assembly station that supports demonstration-based learning and structured task representation. With a strong interest in human-centred AI, Xiaoxuan is dedicated to advancing practical and generalisable robotic systems that bridge human intent and machine execution, and is passionate about exploring interdisciplinary methodologies to enhance robot adaptability and autonomy in real-world settings.
