Xianchao Xiu (修贤超)

Xianchao Xiu is a postdoctoral researcher at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He received his PhD in Mathematics from Beijing Jiaotong University in 2019 and subsequently worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Peking University from 2019 to 2021. He has also served as an associate professor in the Department of Automation at Shanghai University. Xianchao has published over 30 academic papers in prestigious journals, including IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology, Pattern Recognition, and Journal of Computational and Applied Mathematics. He has applied for 10 national invention patents and 6 software copyrights. His research interests focus on the intersection of theory and practice, particularly in optimisation in the era of artificial intelligence. He has led projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and participated in significant national R&D programs.
