Su Lu is a research assistant in the Department of Computing at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Su holds over three years of research experience in machine learning and deep learning, with particular interest in large language models, post-training, reinforcement learning, and multimodal large language models. Su has published research in the IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics and holds a granted Chinese invention patent. Before joining PolyU, Su worked at a leading IT company in China for more than two years, where Su was responsible for developing user portrait systems and building robust data pipelines capable of handling billions of records. Su’s current research focuses on advancing the capabilities of language models and exploring their applications across different modalities. With a strong background in both academic research and industry practice, Su is dedicated to bridging the gap between theoretical advancements and real-world implementation in artificial intelligence.
