Shanshan Song is currently an associate professor at the School of Mathematical Sciences at Tongji University. She obtained her PhD degree in 2020. Prior to joining Tongji University, Shanshan was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Statistics and Data Sciences at CUHK for over three years, supervised by Professor Yuanyuan Lin. Her research interests include semi-supervised learning, statistical machine learning, and generative learning. Her work has been published in prestigious journals such as JASA, JMLR, and JRSSB. Shanshan is particularly curious about the field of generative learning, including diffusion models, GANs, and large language models, and their connections to statistics.
