Zhi Cheng completed both his bachelor's and master's degrees at Tianjin University and is currently studying at Hong Kong Polytechnic University in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), expecting to graduate soon. His research focuses on photonics and optics, particularly in optical metasurfaces. He has a strong interest in basic physics and is curious about the connections between photonic research and condensed matter physics, especially regarding topics like topological phenomena and Chern insulators. Zhi aims to explore the most advanced and cutting-edge physics to deepen his understanding of how matter works. He hopes to create a more comprehensive physical image that integrates concepts beyond just optics.
