Zhao Liu (刘钊)
Zhejiang University
Dr. Zhao Liu is currently an Associate Professor at School of Physics, Zhejiang University. He got his Bachelor's degree in Science from Nanjing University, and PhD degree in theoretical physics from Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He did postdoctoral research in Beijing Computational Science Research Center, Princeton University, and Free University Berlin. He became a faculty of Zhejiang University in 2018. Zhao’s research is focused on theoretical investigations of fractional quantum Hall states and fractional Chern insulators. He utilizes computational methods, including exact diagonalization and density matrix renormalization group, to analyze microscopic models that are closely related to experiments. His recent research programs concentrate on fractional Chern insulators and other exotic correlated phases in moiré materials.
