Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
I earned my bachelor’s degree from Harbin Institute of Technology, China, and my MSc from the National University of Singapore. Currently, I am a second-year PhD student at HKUST. My research focuses on quantum topological states in twisted WSe2, utilizing a self-developed microwave impedance microscopy (MIM) technique. In recent years, twisted bilayer transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) have attracted significant attention for their unique topological properties. The discovery of the double quantum spin Hall (QSH) effect suggests that materials with high spin Chern numbers can support multiple pairs of helical edge states, opening new possibilities for spintronics and topological quantum computing. Microwave Impedance Microscopy (MIM) is a powerful local probe technique enabling high-resolution imaging of material conductivity.
