I am Yunwei Sheng. I completed my PhD at the Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona, Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), under the supervision of Professors Josep Fontcuberta and Ignasi Fina. My doctoral research focused on ferroelectric photovoltaic oxides. Currently, I am working as a postdoctoral researcher at HKUST, under the supervision of Professor Jiannong Wang. My research now centers on 2D topological insulator/superconductor/magnetic heterostructures. My academic background spans ferroelectrics, photovoltaics, complex oxides, semiconductors, and 2D quantum materials. Building on this foundation, I aim to continue developing functional devices based on thin films of ferroelectric and multiferroic materials, as well as 2D ferroelectric/magnetic heterostructures. These devices have potential applications in communications, low-power electric and magnetic field sensing, and energy efficiency, storage, and conversion.
