Yuanda Liao (廖元达)
University of Hong Kong
Yuanda Liao is a research assistant professor in the Department of Physics at HKU. His research interests centre on the theoretical and numerical study of quantum many-body systems, encompassing quantum phase transitions, quantum critical phenomena, and exotic topological states in strongly correlated fermionic systems and quantum magnetism. He employs a range of computational techniques, including quantum Monte Carlo methods and exact diagonalisation, to investigate these complex physical behaviours. Liao is particularly keen to learn about the latest developments in fractional Chern insulators (FCIs) and looks forward to connecting with fellow researchers at this workshop. Further details about his work and credentials are available on his personal website: https://quantummc.xyz/yuanda-liao.
