Yizhou Wei
Hong Kong University of Science and technology
I am currently engaged in research focused on material studies using microwave impedance microscopy (MIM). My primary interest lies in the development, processing, and characterization of advanced metal powders for MIM-based technologies. In particular, I am exploring the optimization of sintering parameters and binder systems to improve the mechanical properties and dimensional accuracy of final components. My work also involves investigating microstructural evolution throughout various stages of the MIM process and examining its correlation with overall material performance. Through this research, I aim to contribute to the advancement of cost-effective, high-performance manufacturing techniques for complex metal parts used in automotive, aerospace, and medical applications. I am deeply passionate about materials science and its potential to drive innovative engineering solutions.
